Matglen Veterans Program

The Matglen Veterans Program (MVP) is a comprehensive entry-level training program designed to equip individuals with a wide range of skills necessary to thrive in the security industry with enhanced confidence.

This program not only increases the employability of the participants but also opens doors to a variety of better-paying job opportunities and higher education. The program is designed to enable participants to explore a variety of part-time and full-time employment opportunities across multiple industries.

The first program, MVP-S (Matglen Veterans Program-Security), will launch in 2025 and is comprised of 12 modules that ensure a diverse and robust training program in the security industry.

The Matglen Veterans Program focuses on creating pathways for veterans to attain sustainable employment opportunities. By partnering with various employers, MVH has developed a program that prioritises realistic employment outcomes. Participants who successfully complete the MVP will not only secure job interviews but will also have the flexibility to choose between part-time and full-time positions.

Furthermore, the program includes mentorship from security subject matter experts. This component offers learners essential real-time advice and support, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the employment landscape effectively. MVH is committed to fostering an environment where veterans can thrive professionally, ensuring a smooth transition into civilian careers.

Upon successful completion of all modules, candidates are well-prepared to showcase a high level of competency in the field. The expansion of the program for the future will introduce new additions, including the Matglen Veterans Program Cybersecurity (MVP-CS), the Matglen Veterans Program Health & Safety (MVP-HS), and the Matglen Veterans Program Construction (MVP-C). This initiative aims to provide alternative program for veterans in other industries.

ENROLMENT CRITERIA:

  • Currently serving and ex-service personnel are eligible. Must have received a minimum of one day of pay serving in the armed forces.

  • Applicant must be on a low income as defined by the program guidelines.

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week per week.

  • All applicants must be able to provide necessary documentation to verify their service, income status, and work capability. Further details regarding the application process and additional support services will be provided upon initial inquiry.

  • The program is available for spouses, partners, and dependents over 18, as long as funding permits.
